How to make a Tempograhy:

Cover a sensitive paper with transparent plastic. Paint, on the plastic, leaving the light on. Throw away the paper and develop the photo.

I believe there is no other technique with a so extended range of nuance, so you can finally exploit in entirety the possibilities of the mean.
